Thank you for the shoutout! You guys are the best.
Believe me, it was our pleasure. Thanks for the continued support! Happy holidays!
OMG…they're singing in this episode!! My ears!!
LOL! Man, you guys have really outdone yourselves…the singing was a real treat!!! And the creative lyrics…awesome!
Connie, totally with you on Purcell. LOVE the guy, great attitude, but there comes a point when you just have to get it done, and if he can't find a way to do it now, I just don't see it happening. Although your math needs a little work, since OD is NOT 3 times older than DD
(Had to give you a hard time about that!)
And thanks for the terrific discussion on Frolove
I'm torn, but a huge part of me wants him just to go away because I don't think he's contributing much to our success. But I agree that we won't give away too much in a trade to get rid of him and maybe just let him walk at the end of the year. Although I'll still be in his line at Tip-A-King to get a last look into those baby blues
Hope you guys had a fantastic holiday! Go Kings Go!
Okay, first off, I love the music you guys pump into the segments. Bluesy, hip and all kinds of cool. Secondly, the singing was just precious. Thirdly, Keef, you are the man for being such a hockey aficionado. BUT (uh oh, here it comes) I have to say that I'm gettin' kind of tired of the sound of Connie's stiff cue card reading voice. Especially when she slams Rob Scuderi for not being more noticeable? WTF? Do you even know what the hell you're talkin' aboot? (that's Canadian for about) Scuds prides himself on being stealth – unless he's making some guy fly over his back during an somewhat illegal hip check. He's a no-nonsense get it done kind of player. Remember, he took a puck to the face, got it taped together and came back to play the rest of that game. Connie, you're the one who slammed me for saying that I think Ivanans should be taken to the curb. He serves no purpose – especially since he doesn't fight – he sucks. Mark my words, dear, when Westgarth comes up next season, Ivanans is done. OD should be done too – he's just too slow and makes too many mistakes. While I think it's wonderful that women love hockey and while it's fairly cool to have a female voice on the show, Connie is definitely the weakest link in the chain of the KingsCast magic. The fellas have such melodic and cool timbers to their voices and they bring such mirth & merriment to us – the King fans, but c'mon… she's just annoying. I know I'm probably going to get slammed for saying all this but it's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.
I say Frolov will not be a King next season.
If the Kings are 4th or 5th in the West, Frolov will not be traded. Lombardi's not going to screw with the team's chemistry. I think he walks and becomes UFA.
Thanks for all of the comments. I'm glad somebody other than the four people in studio liked the singing. I promise you it will only happen *once* a year. Personally, I like what Connie brings to the show. It's nice to have a different opinion, even if you disagree with it. And while I have no earthly idea why she singled out Rob Scuderi (although last night's on-ice performance was one of Scuds' weakest), it made for some good debate.
Here's the thing re: Ivanans. Yes, he does suck. He should be in only a handful of games. But is Westgarth any better? Not in training camp/pre-season. Personally, I like Westie a bit more but, plain and simple, they both suck.
Happy holidays!
We do need an enforcer for back up when it hits the fan, BUT Raitis stinks as a hockey player and doesn't seem to drop the gloves much anymore. So he's moot. Westgarth is young, big and can skate better than Raitis. The potential is there and so is the enforcer factor. I hope he turns out to be a bit more skilled.
As far as your show, Keef, you and Chris are wonderful to listen to – Connie is too stiff as she obviously reads from her notes. You guys just flow naturally and you're funny. She is not funny at all and she's stiff… not to mention her opinions are, more often than not, off the mark. I don't know, maybe it's her annoying timber mixed with her stiff reading factor… she sticks out like a sore thumb.
