Kings 2, Capitals 1

The Los Angeles Kings started off 2010 with a nice win against Alexander “the Douche” Ovechkin (more on that later on Overtime) and the Washington Capitals. As good as the Capitals are, they couldn’t get Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick to shake in net. The kid was outstanding as he lead the Kings to a win. Anze Kopitar remains snake-bitten on the goal sheet but Ryan Smyth and Handzuskept it alive for the Kings. Los Angeles remains in 8th place in the conference (4 point ahead of the Stars).
