Hockey Fest 2009 – Day 3 (Brown and Hextall Interviews)

On the final day of the Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fest 2009, we give you interviews with LA Kings captain Dustin Brown and Assistant General Manager Ron Hextall.

  • I love the bit where he says, "he's a unique individual, to put it, I guess, bluntly. He kinda rubs you the wrong way, but you actually kinda like it.[...] He's nonchalant about things, 'whatever, I let in a goal.'"

    What's the next thing he says, "I'm going to stop over?" ?
  • Yeah, it's "I'll stop the next 55". Some of the audio is poor. I promise to get more at training camp and at levels that don't require you to turn up the volume full-blast.

    I was amazed at how Brownie has come into his own. He is a leader and it shows. He's also having a good time.

    From what I heard, Quick as that "swagger" that a goaltender needs. I like that. Let's hope there's no such thing as a sophomore slump in his case.
