Episode 43 – Olympic Gaming Part 1

I have to say that I'm surprised that team USA is beating team Canada 3-2 after two periods. And how about that hit on Jagr by Doucheander Ovechkin?

My medal prediction is a little different. Unless team USA gets some consistency going, they will fail to medal at this year’s Olympics once again. They have flashes of brilliance and then they decide to take a period or two off. Not until team USA plays Canada this Sunday, will we be able to decide whether or not team USA will medal. However, I will predict that a medal will be given to either team USA or Canada at this year’s Olympics. In what order they will finish still remains to be seen. As for Canada, I think they are in the same boat as team USA. They are under so much pressure and scrutiny to win and to win by absolute domination, anything less than gold is a failure. As for Russia, they are completely stacked! Watching Ovie play in the first game only proves his determination to win. With that said, I am going to predict the following:
GOLD..Canada
Silver..Russia
Bronze...USA (if they develop chemistry in time) or Czech Republic

Yeah Joe, Russia is so stacked it makes Dolly Parton jealous!

Interesting prediction on the Czech's for the bronze. I could see it. Hell, the Slovaks look good too.

My only issue with Russia is defense. There are some definite opportunities. No real big names. Nabby is going to have to stand on his head day-in/day-out.

I have to agree with the Megster as far as the medal picks. And Keith nice job attacking Chris for his $4 t-shirt. That was just low. Chris I would sport that shirt too - far faster than that ostentatious team Canada sweater. Talk about whiners, Wayne was a huge whiner and probably where Cindy Crysby gets it from. Be proud of team USA, Christopher!

I think Team USA is going to be a "medal spoiler". They've got some talent. If they can come together as a team, they're going to be a tough opponent. Brian Burke really had to work some magic to assemble that team. I'd love to see them go far (but not farther than Canada). We'll see!
