Funny..very funny. Watching that parking lot attendant run around in the background of Chris' interview makes me wonder if they are really safeguarding our vehicles while we are gone. Either way, even though Quicker is having a great season thus far, he is not the best goaltender of all time. That record would have to go to either Vachon or Hrudey. Until he does more than win games during the season, he still lacks playoff experience and wins in the post season. I suggest you ask that question again once the Kings make the playoffs.
As for a trade, I am not sure anymore who we should acquire. Since Whitney spurned the Kings, the players available who can help this team are rather thin. A d-man would be nice, but do we really want Souray? Gleason actually would be a good pick up. There is nothing wrong with reacquiring an old member. The other person who I think would be great is Cam Barker of the Hawks. They still need to drop some players because of cap issues and he is young and tough. We still have time and now with the Kings streaking, Deano has more time before a commitment needs to be made. Either way, GO Kings!!
Tonight will be the streaks real test since they are playing the Ducks at Honda Center. A place where the Ducks have not lost in nine games straight.
I forgot to mention, I keep hearing Kariya's name. Not sure if I really would want him in Kings colors, but he still has tons of speed down the wing and that is one place we are still lacking. Fro has been stepping up as of late, but there is nothing wrong with wanting more.

I agree on the trade front. I don't see Whitney happening now and Souray is injured and expensive. To me, Gleason would be the best pickup now. It's just so hard to say exactly what we'll need since the Kings are on this amazing winning streak and everyone is stepping up. I don't think we need to make a big name splash here, just a role player or two, granted there are no more major injuries.

I would love Ray Whitney but not on a three-year contract. I think Alex makes a great point in the vlog that we don't necessarily want to screw with the top 9. I would love to pick up Eric Belanger. That would give an interesting fourth line of Moller-Belanger-Segal. Not bad. I am very interested in what Lombardi does at the deadline. If we go 2-1 before the break, that's 11-1 in 12. Does he really screw with that? Tough to say.
I agree that Quick isn't the best LA Kings goaltender of all time. But, hey, if he can post 48 wins on the season, that's a very strong case for Veznia.

I know, for a guy that's killed us over the years, I'm not sure if I'd want him in Kings colors either.
If Rogie Vachon was playing on a King team with this much talent, not only would he already be in the HOF but there would be no question as to who the King of Kings between the pipes has been. This episode was great – really enjoyed it. Even though it was supposed be episode #41 not 40. Ooops.

Quick is not the best goalie in Kings franchise history…not yet, anyway. He'll need 2-3 more years of play at an elite level to wrest that title away from Rogie Vachon.

difficult question, Quick in a short time already shows impressive numbers, but it is too early to say what is or will be the best goalie of the kings history, time will tell xD

I have to agree with that about Rogie, that guy continues to be underrated to this day.

Totally Fernando, we got really lucky to not only sit in those seats but to be able to see a historic comeback win in those seats!
I totally agree here. Vachon had some terrible teams in front of him and still managed to be one of the best back-stoppers in the league. My question is when does Quick take the title (or anybody else in the pipeline, for that matter)? I'm curious as to what our standards are.

Deano has come out recently and said that he is in the hunt for another top 4 or 6 defesenseman and another top six forward. TSN is reporting that the deal for Whitney is still on the table, but the trade is in limbo beacuse of the contract extension Whitney desires to be in place. That trade will be finalized if Deano relinquishes stance on giving Whitney a 3 year extension. I hope Deano holds firm with only a 1 year…otherwise, i suggest we grab Kariya even though i would hate to see that jerk in a Kings uniform. (he still has plenty of speed down the wing)

First of all gratz for the record, it's been great streak for sure.
Well personally I think that team should be kept as it is. Actually Alex pointed out Williams injury there and one additional attacker would be useful for the rest of the season with playoffs off course. But on the other side I think that Jones doesn't suck Kieth, sorry. He's been injured too, so I wouldn't use that word for him (jet). When he scored one or two back then we all cheered and praised his signing for LA, didn't we…
QOD: I'm sure Quick will be the best goalie Kings ever had, well he might already be that. To be honest I don't know the history that well as you guys in states I suppose. Vachon??

She's a rather intense Kings fan, that's for sure! But, it was an intense game so you have to bring it or stay home!
As for the QOD, it was more of point of discussion. Obviously, Quick is still in the middle of one of his first full NHL seasons and hasn't made the playoffs…yet. But, when it's all said and done, he will have the record for most wins as a Kings goalie in a season and I truly believe will lead this team into the playoffs this year. Yes, his Goals Against is pretty high and he does only have 1 shutout this year, but in a few years, a few playoffs series and more seasons/wins, he will be one of the best, if not THE best in Kings history. I think the Kings finally have that “home-grown” guy.
I have to disagree with Randy Jones though. The guy does kinda suck. Sure, after we first got him he had some offensive production, but even before the injury (which HAS affected his game) his defensive game is a little sketchy. We need another D-man in the mix.

Ok, I believe you. After all you are quite closer there, watching the games live. Very rarely I see hole Kings game live, I usually wake up for two periods or so (5.30am here)… Unlike you I like those 1pm or 2pm games

There has been this persistent Montreal rumor all season. I say it's BS. Why? Who the hell do we want from Montreal in exchange for Frolov? I don't think we make great trading partners.
