Episode 38 – Tip a King 2010
18 Jan, 2010 | by Keith
KingsCast invaded Staples Center for Tip a King 2010 and got interviews by Raitus Ivanans, Oscar Moller, Jim Fox, Scott Parse, Ice Captain Debbie and Bailey. It was a great day for the Los Angeles Kings fans. If you were there, what was your favorite experience? How many Kings autographs did you score?

Ok.. so be honest. Did you end up with Ratis in the penalty box because of your sweater?
[...] Apparently, the Kings gave Korneluk and Kaliszewski the run of building (what were they thinking??!) and they went all over the place, taking in the entire scene in Episode 38 – Tip A King 2010. [...]
I have to say, that Bailey interview was my personal favorite.

As much as I love that sweater, it will never appear on camera again.
it was a fun experience…enjoyed the whole interactive part of the event..truely enjoyed the opportunity to take a shot on Quicker..missed the first shot high and wide and the second shot he made a kick save on. In addition to Quicker, being able to take a faceoff aganist Stolly was the best. He beat me all three times, but he did say i beat him on the third try, but i beg to differ. What was most rewarding about that whole experience was the time he took to explain to me afterward what i can do in order to improve on my faceoff percentage. Gratnted, i may only play in a “beer” league per say, but every advantage can and will help..Thanks again Stolly!
I did have one event that went in my favor, I was able to dunk Oscar Moller. I hit the target on the first try, but unfortunately, it did not register. Fortunately, I was able to hit the target again on my second try.
As for the amount of autographs i scored, i will leave that one open to debate. All in all, I would have to say the event was an enjoyable one and i hope they continue with this type of format in the future…minus the Kings bucks of course!
I agree. The interactive stuff was great. Although, I'm sure Stoll, Quick and Moller grew quite tired of it. I'm sure they were wishing they had a day off!
Watch your faceoff percentage increase after Stoll's little tutorial.
i did forget to say that i did come return home with a momento from the days event…a staff member gave me the sign that was in front of Quicker's autograph station..cool item!!
Nah…they gave Keith a misconduct just for showing up.
Nice Joe! I'm seeing something new for Quick to sign in the near future…
Moller was definitely a trooper for dealing with the Dunk Tank so well. I'm sorry but that would suck!
And to think…now I have to walk those corridors after you were there…a sobering thought…

Great show guys, looks a cool event the Kings held. I assume that is an annual thing the team does? Did you grab anything from the auction?

@hockeycardshow
Yeah, it's an annual event with proceeds going to charity. There's a minimal ticket price for general admission and it's about $2 each for an autograph AND a picture but it's the best event all year to meet every player. We didn't get anything from the auction this year as we were too busy shooting. I also really didn't see anything I couldn't live without, at least for the hundreds and thousands of dollars some of the things cost. Thanks for the comments!
They do it every year. All of the proceeds go to the Kings Care Foundation.
I would have loved to bid on a few items but we couldn't as media. I bid on a few things last year but didn't win anything.
I think if I were there I would put fire in the Niedermayer jersey that was in sale hahhaha
very cool the possibility to met with the players, including Bailey xD
Great job guys!
