nice insert of the wives guys!!...anyways, my surprise thus far has to be the play of both the Avalanche and the Coyotes. As you both pointed out, we expected the worst from both of those teams, but as of rigt now, they are holding strong. only time will tell how much longer they will be able to remain on top. My other team surprise would have to be the Rangers. Gaborik is on fire (undisclosed injury now) and rookie Del Zotto is playing like Doughty did for us last year. The other team i am a little surprised about, but saw it coming is the play of the Ducks. They have three strong lines, but can not seem to put it all together. they have a weak defense with the loss of Prongs & Francios and spotty goaltending. I hope they can make the playoffs so we can ignite a hockey frenzy in southern cali for the first time with both teams making the playoffs, but I am not going to be disappoointed if i can finally say to our bandwaggoning Ducks fans...YOU SUCK!!!

    Dear Kings Management,

I think that the panthers could use a little help from King Anze ... so it would be wonderful if you could trade him over to Florida. Thank you.

    Yours truly,
    T. Vokoun
  • Put down the crack pipe, Skippy.
  • @K9Jeeper: Thanks! Yeah, the Scuderi hit is certainly something we should have covered in more detail but with the Kings playing so well we managed to let that one slip by. We'll have to come up with "alternative" means of creating discussion on that one. The Ovechkin shirt is a good one, love the guys over at Hockey T-Shirt, but I like Ovie too much to buy it.

@ChrisB: Thanks man! Even better then the episode you appeared in, that a complement! The play of the Coyotes and Avs are definitely a surprise to me as well. I see Phoenix trending downward pretty quickly, but can't say enough about their smothering D that's making plays. The Avs are riding high on the play Craig Anderson. He is playing great hockey, even with a ton of shots coming his way and a majority of his games being on the road so far. Our old buddy Kyle Quincy, their #1 D-Man, is also playing very well. I don't see the Avs being in the West's #1 spot all year but I see them hanging with Calgary in their division and probably making the playoffs.
  • So how long until some nimrod makes a "Scuderi: Italian for douche bag" t-shirt?
  • ChrisBond
Wow, even better then last week. And 9 minutes and some change long with all that good content. If you guys can get it up to the 10 min. mark I would be able to enjoy my Hungry Man TV dinner while watching. Keep up the good work guys.
My suprise is the Yotes and the Avs teams a top the leauge when they were sapose to suck bad. Someone forgot to tell them I guess that this a rebuild year.
  • Chris, the show was running 12 minutes until I realized that YouTube limits your shows to 10 minutes. Then the old scissors had to come out.

My surprise is that the Leafs are as bad as they are. Tell you one thing, Kessel isn't going to fix the problem!
  • As usual nice job, fellas. I can't wait to hear what you think of the Scuderi hit on Chimera. Dirty or legal?

BTW: Nice t-shirt Chris. I almost bought that one until I saw the "Ovechkin: Russian for Douche Bag" shirt.
  • @K9 You can actually buy the Penalty Kill shirt (as well as a the accompanying Powerplay shirt) here: http://kingscast.propellshops.com/index.php?mai...
  • You know what's funny? We didn't comment on it because we've seen that check from Scuds before. I had no idea, from my vantage point, that it was that big of a deal. Editing the following day, I clearly see that it was. I wish we had mentioned that.

I'll need to DVR the next game we go to and review it before we shoot a show!
