It’s been a while since we’ve had a player who deserves their own tribute video. Then, yesterday, the Los Angeles Kings traded Kyle Quincey, Tom Preissing and a 5th round pick to the Colorado Avalanche for Ryan Smyth. Enjoy the video!

With the fifth overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, the Los Angeles Kings selected Brayden Schenn from the Brandon Wheat Kings (subsequently pissing off Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke). This tough brother of Luke Schenn is a solid two-way forward who isn’t afraid to use the body and can certainly chip in offensively.

The same year that the Los Angeles Kings took Drew Doughty in the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, they also took tough defenseman Colten Teubert. While we have yet to see him in a Kings uniform, he will certainly develop into a solid defenseman in the NHL.

Dean Lombardi’s drafting of Drew Doughty is something that Kings fans will remember for many years to come. This future franchise defenseman will be the anchor on the LA Kings blue line.

2001 was the last time the Los Angeles Kings achieved playoff success. This was an exciting time to be an LA Kings fan. It’s great emotion from Bob Miller and Andy Murray’s team as they took out the Detroit Red Wings.

A nice tribute to LA Kings goaltender Erik Ersberg.

Dubbed the “Miracle on Chick Hearn” by KingsCast, this was one of the best comebacks we’ve seen by the Los Angeles Kings in quite some time. Watch as LA completely dismantles the Dallas Stars.
