The Los Angeles Kings just debuted their new commercial to kick off the 2009 hockey season. I must say, we are impressed. The Kings were criticized by many fans (including us) for their slogan of the “Only Reason We’re Here”. However, after watching this commercial, we are now reversing our opinion. This is pretty sweet!

I’m sure LA Kings fans everywhere are looking forward to seeing ‘Scuds’ in black & purple making plays like this!

We told you last night in Overtime, our goaltending situation is fine. The Los Angeles Kings have a lot to be excited about with Jonathan Quick manning the pipes. It’s an exciting time to be an LA Kings fan. This upcoming season is a different story when it comes to goaltending.

Derek Armstrong will be missed this year. He was an okay player but a leader through and through.

Remember this little gem from last season? The Los Angeles Kings really went out on a limb with this commercial featuring Jack Johnson, Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar. I get what they were going for. They just failed…miserably.

The greatest comeback in Los Angeles Kings history took place on April 10, 1982. Known as the Miracle on Manchester, this event will always be remembered by the hardcore LA Kings fans.
